It's time once again to celebrate Bluegrass here in the Fox Valley. The fun starts at 5:00pm on Friday August 5 and again at noon on Saturday Aug 6.
This is the second year for the Big Ass Bluegrass Bash and Tracy & Jodi have put together a great line-up once again. Look for some great Fox Valley staple acts like PBR and the Hot Saxx Ensemble to bring the good times like we know them for. You can expect headliners like The Johnson Family and Blind Corn Liquor Pickers to surely get your toes a-tappin' and feet a-stompin'. Make sure you get there early on Saturday to check out the up and coming Dead Horses, a young upstart group from Oshkosh. Not many festivals can offer you an escape from the elements but the Big Ass Bluegrass Bash has you covered if the weather turns for the worse. The option to move the music to an indoor stage allows no excuses for those who fear a little bit of rain. The weekend forecast shows a high of 80 degrees and a mostly clear sky for the duration of the weekend. All and all, a great outlook for a weekend festival. Make sure you bring your camping gear because the Big Ass Bluegrass Bash allows you to spend the night for the low cost of five dollars per person per night. No one will even want to consider leaving this party when the main stage music ends because the music won't stop until the sun comes up. Expect random late night campfire jams going all night long from your favorite instrumentals in attendance. Make sure that you come support this great Local Bluegrass Festival and show everyone that the Fox Valley knows how to have a good time.
